VMware Buys AirWatch, Strengthens Mobility Portfolio

AirWatch "provides best-in-class, secure, enterprise-mobile management to thousands of businesses around the world," said VMWare CEO Pat Gelsinger, in announcing acquisition of the start-up. Gelsinger added that AirWatch's technology will allow VMWare customers to boost their mobile capability without compromising security.
